1Reward Seats
The Reward Seat base fare is payable in Velocity Points, and taxes, fees and carrier charges are payable in addition to Velocity Points redeemed for the base fare. Reward Seats are limited and may not be available at the advertised lead-in Reward Seat base fares, at peak times or on all flights. Reward Seat bookings must be made on the Virgin Australia website by selecting “Use Points”. Reward Seats and associated charges are not eligible for Points or Status Credits earn. Payment surcharge may apply. You can change or get a refund for your booking by paying a fee and any fare difference, at least 24 hours before scheduled departure. You may also request a refund for other reasons, including under the Australian Consumer Law. View the Velocity Reward Seat fare rules for more information. 2Points + Pay
Minimum 100 Points per person required when using Points + Pay on a one‑way flight. Payment surcharge may apply. Virgin Australia fare rules apply to Points + Pay flight booking.
3Upgrading your Travel
Points can be used to upgrade from Economy fares (excl. Economy Lite) on Virgin Australia marketed and operated flights . Subject to seat availability. Requests must be made at least 40 minutes before scheduled departure at the airport. Additional terms and conditions available here.
4Family Pooling
Family Pooling allows up to 6 Family Members (max. 2 adults (18 or over) and 4 children) living at the same address to join one Family Pool. Family Pooling must be set up prior to Points or Points and Status Credit earn to be pooled to the nominated beneficiary. Additional terms and conditions available here.
5Earn and Transfer Velocity Points
The earn, transfer and redemption of partner points is subject to individual partner and Velocity membership terms and conditions.
