4 easy steps to kick start your earning.

Here’s a checklist of things you need to do as soon as you sign up to Velocity to maximise your Velocity-Point-earning potential, from making sure you’ve completed your account, to considering Family Points Pooling so you can collect your kids’ Velocity Points and Status Credits. We’re sure they won’t mind...

1. Finish what you've started

Remember how your mum always made you finish your dinner before you got to have dessert? This is a bit like that. Completing your account details is the first step on your way to greater rewards, and just like eating your veggies, it’s good for you.

Making sure you’ve got all your account fields filled out (name, email and street address, phone number, date of birth, etc. etc.) means you’ll never miss an opportunity to nab some yourself some Velocity Points. It’ll also mean any snail mail won’t accidentally end up in your neighbour’s letterbox, or your old apartment address you moved out of three years ago.

2. Subscribe like you mean it

Next up, maximise your Velocity Point-earning potential and make sure you’re not missing a trick. And by trick, we mean email and our website. Bookmark the Member Offers page to stay up to date on the latest offers available to members. Ensuring you’re subscribed to all the Velocity email communications will also tell you everything you need to know about collecting and using Velocity Points, plus our emails keep you up-to-date with any member exclusives, Velocity Points promotions and redemption flight sales.

Also remember to turn on SMS notifications to make sure you never miss any urgent info, like limited-time Velocity Point bonuses, or partner offers. Because let’s face it, your phone is in your hand 24/7 anyway, so it might as well earn its keep.

3. Cash in on your family's Velocity Points

It’s time to work on your relationship. Sit your partner down and have ‘The Chat’ about how it’s time get serious and set up Family Points Pooling.

What’s that, you ask? Well, it’s a clever way you can declare your love by sharing custody of all the Velocity Points and Status Credits you earn. If you’ve got kids, you can get them involved too, with up to six eligible family members for your Family Points Pool (provided everyone is living at the same address).

4. Stay in the know
