Launceston, Los Angeles or London? We've got you covered.

Here is our guide to earning Velocity Points with our global network of airline partners

First things first. Earning Points flying Virgin Australia and Link Airways is based on $'s spent whereas Points on our international airline partners (and we have quite a few) is based on miles flown. The exact earn rate differs depending on the airline, the fare type you've chosen, and whether you're a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Red Velocity member but we're here to break it down for you and make sure that you're earning Velocity Points wherever you can across the globe.

Velocity partners with over 10 airlines, who fly to over 500 destinations globally. So, if you're in need of some inspo for your next trip, sit back, relax and let us take you on a quick tour.

Americas

Whether you fancy a trip to go seafood chowder hunting in San Francisco, sightseeing in San Salvador or partying the night away in Sao Paolo, we've got you covered through our partnerships with Virgin Australia, United Airlines and Air Canada.

Europe

If you’re looking for a European vacay, why not get there in style with our world leading partners Virgin Australia, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways or Virgin Atlantic; and best of all, you will earn Velocity Points and Status Credits along the way.

We also have an innovative partnership with KrisFlyer (the loyalty program of Singapore Airlines) where you can transfer your KrisFlyer miles to Velocity Points. Simply log into your KrisFlyer account and select "Transfer Points – Airlines" in the menu.

Asia

From Japan in the East to Turkey in the West, this huge continent can be explored with Virgin Australia (flying to Japan from June 2023), Singapore Airlines and All Nippon Airways. You can also earn Points and Status Credits to Greater China (China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) with Hainan Airlines, Hong Kong Airlines, Tianjin Airlines and Beijing Capital Airlines.

Africa

If it’s a safari you’re after or an exotic beach getaway, Virgin Australia, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways and South African Airways can get you there.

Australia, Bali and Pacific Islands

Looking for adventures closer to home? Why not go diving with whale sharks in Australia, enjoy a cold Bintang in Bali or discover the beautiful Yasawa Group of Islands in Fiji. For your domestic and short haul international flying needs, we've partnered with Virgin Australia and Link Airways.

How to earn Velocity Points and Status Credits

Ensure you book an eligible fare and have your Velocity number added to your booking before you fly. Bookings can be made via the Virgin Australia website, the website of the relevant partner airline or via a travel agent.

Earning Velcoity Points for previous flights

If you’re just realising that you missed out on earning Velocity Points with one of our partner airlines, you may still be able to claim them! We’ve put together an easy-to-use guide that shows you everything you need to know and how you may be eligible to claim missing Points for flights you've already flown.
