Earning Points towards your goals
There are hundreds of ways to earn Velocity Points and almost all of them count toward the Points Pro challenge
Earn Points every day in the air and on the ground with hundreds of partners.
Not to worry! There are still opportunities to earn bonus Points by meeting your monthly targets
Don’t worry if you miss out on one month’s target. As long as you earn the overall target of 25k Points you will still get your 5,500 bonus Points.
Not all of the Points you earn will land immediately in your account. We need to leave a bit of time post the monthly and overall challenge to make sure that we can see all of your eligible earn, making sure you don’t miss out!
Our e-store is a great way to earn Points, especially when you see special Points offers. When you shop we call these Points pending as there is a 37 day return window so the Points won’t actually land in your account until the 38th day
Some points just take a little longer to land in your account. Don’t worry! We will keep looking for those Points up to 6 weeks after the end of the month. So as long as it is an eligible transaction, and the activity date is within the month and the Points land in your account within the 6 weeks after the end of the month, we count it!
Almost! There are some that don’t just because the Points potentially take too long to land in your account for us to recognise for the challenge. These are Freedom Kitchens, Medibank, Medibank Pet and Snooze. Family Pooling and Family Points transfers are Points that have already been earnt and are not transactions, so they also don’t count.
Points will only land in your account after the flight has been taken. This is because there is the possibility of flight cancellations. If your flight will happen outside of the challenge (beyond 29 February 2024) unfortunately we can’t count them, even if it was booked in the challenge window
If you receive the bonus Points within the window of the challenge then absolutely! If you apply later in the challenge and don’t meet the bonus Point criteria set out by the card provider until very late or outside of the challenge then unfortunately they won’t count.
Family pooling Points and Family Points transfers have already been ‘earnt’ by the person who made the transaction. So when they transfer over to your account, they don’t count as another earn. Sorry! But there are plenty of earn options to get you there
Cheeky! No, challenge bonus Points do not contribute to monthly targets or the total target
Getting the Points
Don’t worry about a thing. All challenge bonus Points will be automatically awarded directly into your account after the promotion period. This may take up to 90 days
As long as the date of the activity happened within the month, and the Points appear in your account within six weeks of the end of the month, they count! We understand that not all Points will land immediately so we keep an eye out up to six weeks later to catch any sneaky Points
As we keep looking for delayed Points up to six weeks after the end of the month, the bonus Points may be awarded after this. If we can see enough Points have been earnt when the month finishes, the bonus Points will be awarded
*Velocity Points Pro Offer Terms and Conditions
This ‘Velocity Points Pro’ challenge offer (VelocityPoints Pro Offer) is targeted to selected Velocity members only and is not transferable. Selected members must activate the Velocity Points Pro Offer between 12:00am AEDT 20 November 2023 and 11:59pm AEDT 30 November 2023 (Activation Period). Selected members who activated the Velocity Points Pro Offer during the Activation Period will receive: (i) 5,500 bonus Velocity Points when they earn 25,000 Velocity Points or more with Eligible Partners between 12:00am AEDT 1 December 2023 and 11:59pm AEDT 29 February 2024 (Overall Challenge Period); (ii) 100 bonus Velocity Points when they earn 5,000 Velocity Points or more with Eligible Partners between 12:00am AEDT 1 December 2023 and 11:59pm AEDT 31 December 2023 (Challenge Period 1); (iii) 400 bonus Velocity Points when they earn 7,500 Velocity Points or more with Eligible Partners between 12:00am AEDT 1 January 2024 and 11:59pm AEDT 31 January 2024 (Challenge Period 2); and (iv) 1,000 bonus Velocity Points when they earn 12,500 Velocity Points or more between 12:00am AEDT 1 February 2024 and 11:59pm AEDT 29 February 2024 (Challenge Period 3). The Overall Challenge Period and Challenge Periods 1, 2 and 3 are each a “Challenge Period” and are together the “Challenge Periods”.
When calculating the selected member’s earn total for a Challenge Period, all Velocity Points earned for Eligible Partner activities within the relevant Challenge Period and credited to the member’s account within 6 weeks of the end of the Challenge Period will contribute to the member’s earn total. For the avoidance of doubt, Points are earned on the date of the activity and not the transaction date (e.g., for flights this is the date on which the flight is flown and not on the date on which the flight is booked). Family Pooling, Family Points transfers and the bonus Velocity Points allocated to the member for this Velocity Points Pro Offer will not contribute to the member’s earn total. “Eligible Partners” are all Velocity Frequent Flyer partners listed on the Explore Velocity Partners page, except Medibank, Medibank Pet Insurance, Freedom Kitchens and Snooze. Earn transactions, the terms on which members can earn Points and the periods for crediting Points differ between Eligible Partners and may vary depending on the member’s status level. Please check Points earn rates and applicable terms and conditions before making an eligible Points earn transaction with an Eligible Partner.
Where a selected member has achieved the required earn total for a Challenge Period, the bonus Velocity Points for that Challenge Period will be credited to the member’s account within 90 days after the Overall Challenge Period date. A member may be eligible to receive bonus Points for one or more of the Challenge Periods. To earn Velocity Points, you must be a Velocity member. Velocity membership and Points earn is subject to the Velocity Membership Terms and Conditions, as amended from time to time.
