Where can I collect Flybuys points?

Where can I transfer my Flybuys points to Velocity?

Each time you collect 1,000 Flybuys points, you can transfer them over to your Velocity account.*

 1,000 Flybuys points = 500 Velocity Points 

There are two different ways to transfer your points. You can either manually transfer your points over each time you reach 1,000 Flybuys points, or you can set up Auto Transfer.*

How to link your Flybuys and Velocity accounts

  • Click here or visit the Velocity partner page on the Flybuys website
  • Sign in to your Flybuys account or create a new account by following the prompts. Signing up is free
  • Enter your Velocity membership number and password
  • Your accounts are now linked and you will be able to manage your Velocity preferences in the Flybuys app

~Flybuys and Velocity Bonus Points Offer Terms and Conditions

General Terms & Conditions 
Between 12:00am AEDT Fri 1 Dec 2023 and 11:59pm AEDT Wed 31 Jan 2024 (Promotion Period), Flybuys and Velocity Frequent Flyer Members who link their Velocity Frequent Flyer membership to their Flybuys account can choose either one of the two below offers:

1. Members will receive 250 bonus Velocity Points and 250 Flybuys bonus points if they choose to complete a manual transfer of a minimum 1,000 Flybuys points to Velocity as their first Velocity transfer within the Promotion Period (this does not need to be their first ever Velocity manual transfer); or 

2. Members will receive 500 bonus Velocity Points and 500 Flybuys bonus points if they turn on Auto Transfer and complete their first ever auto-transfer of a minimum 1,000 Flybuys points to Velocity during the Promotion Period. Members must remain opted into Auto Transfer until the end of the Promotion period to be eligible for this offer.
Members are only eligible to receive one Bonus Points allocation during the Promotion Period and this will apply to the first eligible transfer that the Member completes during the Promotion Period. Your Flybuys and Velocity accounts must remain linked until the end of the Promotion Period to be eligible to receive this offer. Please read the further details below in respect of each offer.

Velocity Frequent Flyer Points will be credited to the linked Velocity account. Flybuys points will be credited to the linked Flybuys account. Members should allow up to 4 weeks after Wed 31 Jan 2024 for the Flybuys and Velocity bonus Points to be allocated to each account. Once Flybuys points have been redeemed for Velocity Points they cannot be returned to your Flybuys account, and they will be governed by the Velocity membership terms and conditions. This offer is personal to the Flybuys and Velocity member and not transferable.

Manual Transfer Offer: 250 Bonus Velocity Points + 250 Flybuys bonus points
If you choose to make a manual transfer as the first transfer within the Promotion Period, you will receive 250 bonus Velocity Points and 250 Flybuys bonus points on your first manual transfer of 1,000 Flybuys points to 500 Velocity points during the Promotion Period (in one transaction). If a member completes a manual transfer first during the Promotion Period, they will not be eligible to receive the Auto Transfer bonus points offer. This Bonus Points offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Members who have previously completed a Manual Transfer from their Flybuys to Velocity Accounts prior to the Promotional Period are still eligible for the Manual Transfer offer.

Auto Transfer Offer: 500 bonus Velocity Points + 500 Flybuys bonus points

If you choose to opt into Auto Transfer and complete your first ever Auto Transfer (where you Auto Transfer a minimum of 1,000 Flybuys Points to Velocity in one transaction ) during the Promotion Period, you will receive 500 bonus Velocity Points and 500 Flybuys bonus points on your first Auto Transfer during the Promotion Period. Members who have opted into the Auto Transfer functionality prior to the Promotional Period but have never completed an Auto Transfer are eligible for this Auto Transfer offer. This offer is not available to members who have previously completed an Auto Transfer prior to the Promotion Period. This Bonus Points offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Members must remain opted into Auto Transfer until the end of the Promotion period to be eligible for this offer. If an eligible member completes an Auto Transfer first during the Promotion Period, they will not be eligible to receive the Manual Transfer bonus points offer.

*Flybuys Transfer terms and conditions  
 
If you’ve linked your Velocity Frequent Flyer membership to your Flybuys household account, you can choose to manually transfer a minimum of 1,000 Flybuys points at a time to receive 500 Velocity Points per 1,000 Flybuys points transferred to Velocity. Or, you can turn on Auto Transfer and if you choose to do this, your entire existing Flybuys points balance (to the highest multiple of 1,000 Flybuys points) will be automatically transferred to your linked Velocity account, and every 1,000 Flybuys points you subsequently collect will be automatically transferred into 500 Velocity Points. There’s no limit to the amount of Flybuys points you can transfer to Velocity. Only one Velocity membership can be linked to a Flybuys household at any one time. To turn on Auto Transfer, the full name and date of birth on your Flybuys household account and linked Velocity membership must match. You can de-link or manage your linked accounts at any time at partners.flybuys.com.au/velocity-frequent-flyer/. Visit experience.flybuys.com.au/rewards/travel/velocity-transfer to manually transfer your Flybuys points. Alternatively, to turn on Auto Transfer, visit partners.flybuys.com.au/velocity-frequent-flyer/ and sign in to your Flybuys account then turn your Auto Transfer preference to ‘On’. This selection will apply to all members under that specific Flybuys household account. You can turn your Auto Transfer preference to ‘Off’ at any time and will still be able to manually transfer your Flybuys points to Velocity. 
 
Please allow up to 48 hours for Velocity Points to be credited to your linked Velocity account and for your Flybuys points balance to be updated. Once Flybuys points have been redeemed for Velocity Points they can’t be returned to your Flybuys account. Standard Flybuys Terms and Conditions apply to the collection of Flybuys points. Velocity membership Terms and Conditions apply. 
 
4Status Credit earn terms and conditions 

If you’ve linked your Velocity Frequent Flyer membership to your Flybuys household account, you can earn the standard Status Credit earn rate of (1) Status Credit per $100 (including GST) spent each calendar month in total across Coles, Coles Online, Liquorland or First Choice Liquor Market when you scan your Flybuys card at the time of purchase, up to a maximum of 10 Status Credits per calendar month. Standard Status Credit earn rate is based on spend from the day your accounts are linked. Please allow up to two weeks after the end of each calendar month for your standard Status Credits to be credited.

Spend excludes the purchase of gift cards, tobacco, tobacco related products, charity donations and delivery/service fees. Status Credits will be credited to the linked Velocity account as at the end of each calendar month. No part Status Credits will be allocated, only whole Status Credits per $100 spend. No retrospective claims for Status Credits will be accepted at any time, even in instances where due to technology malfunctions eligible spend is unable to be added to the Flybuys household account. Velocity members also need to fly on Virgin Australia marketed flights to earn Eligible Sectors in addition to Status Credits to upgrade or maintain a new level of membership, for more information visit https://experience.velocityfrequentflyer.com/the-basics/status.

^Virgin Australia Reward Seat terms and conditions 
 
The quoted redemption fares are correct as at 7 December 2022 and are subject to change. Fares are subject to availability. Points value is based on a domestic one-way Economy Reward Seat fare with Virgin Australia and must be booked through the Velocity website. Taxes, fees and carrier charges are payable in addition to Velocity Points redeemed. A Virgin Australia carrier charge is payable per sector, per person. Reward Seats and associated charges are not eligible for Points earn. Seats are limited and may not be available at peak times or on all flights. Price may vary until ticketed. Payment surcharge may apply. You can change or get a refund for your booking by paying a fee and any fare difference, at least 24 hours before scheduled departure. 1Rocket Travel terms and conditions 

 
Hotel T&C’s 
Velocity Frequent Flyer members can earn or redeem Points for hotel stays via Rocket Travel Hotels.  
 
Earning Points 
Standard Velocity Points earn rate is 3 Points per $1 spent on all hotels booked. Points earn is not available on cancelled reservations or reservations where Points or a combination of Points + Pay is used as a form of payment.  
 
Redeeming Points 
The minimum Points required to redeem a hotel stay via Rocket Travel Hotels is 2,000 Velocity Points. The actual Points required vary depending on the hotel, room type, rate type, time of booking and date for which the booking is made. Redemption levels are subject to change at the discretion of Velocity Frequent Flyer. You can use your Points to cover a partial amount or the full amount of the hotel room rate including taxes and surcharges. Additional costs, such as in-room charges, early check-in, late check-out and upgrades are not included and must be paid directly to the hotel.

Car Hire T&C’s 
Velocity Frequent Flyer members can earn or redeem Points for car hire bookings made via Rocket Travel Cars.  
 
Earning Points 
For reservations within Australia and New Zealand, the Points earn rate is based on the base rental cost of the vehicle as well as the car rental brand you choose to book with. For reservations outside Australia or New Zealand, you will earn a flat rate of Velocity Points per rental booking. Points earn is not available on cancelled reservations or reservations where Points or a combination of Points + Pay is used as a form of payment. Redeeming Points 
The minimum Points required to redeem a rental car via Rocket Travel Cars is 2,000 Velocity Points. The actual Points required vary depending on the vehicle, rental brand, rate type, time of booking and date for which the booking is made. Redemption levels are subject to change at the discretion of Velocity Frequent Flyer. You can use your Points to cover a partial amount or the full amount of the car rental rate including taxes and surcharges. Any additional direct payments required at time of pick up, are not included.

2Velocity Wine Store by Laithwaites terms and conditions 

 
Velocity Wine Store by Laithwaites is operated by Wine People Pty Ltd (ABN: 41 105 657 154) trading as Velocity Wine Store by Laithwaites (LIQP770016550), Level 2, 407 Elizabeth Street Sydney NSW 2010. LIQP770016550 (“Laithwaites”). 
Orders will not be accepted (nor will alcohol be delivered to) persons under the age of 18 years. You are purchasing product(s) from Laithwaites not Velocity Frequent Flyer Pty Ltd. Your contract with  Laithwaites will be formed when they dispatch your product(s). 
Laithwaites deliver to most addresses in Australia including PO Boxes except the Northern Territory, dry zones across Australia and Parcel Lockers.  Orders are usually fulfilled within a week but please allow up to 14 days. Delivery to outlying areas will be to the agent’s nearest depot. If an offered wine becomes unavailable, a similar wine of greater value may be supplied. If you are unhappy with the substitute, Laithwaites will provide you a refund. 

Laithwaites wines are covered by a quality guarantee subject to certain conditions. If a wine fails to satisfy, for whatever reason, and assuming it has been stored in suitable conditions, and has met Laithwaites wine handling conditions, it will be collected and refunded or replaced (subject to Velocity Wine Store by Laithwaites Terms and Conditions). Subject to applicable law, Laithwaites does not offer refunds and returns on older vintages and fine wines. 
As a Velocity Frequent Flyer Member, you will earn 2 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points per each dollar spent (excluding delivery charges) by shopping with Velocity Wine Store by Laithwaites, or by accepting any bonus Points offer from time to time. All Velocity Points (including any bonus Points) will be credited to your Velocity account within 30 days of purchase.  
 
3Velocity Reward Store terms and conditions 

 
Redemption of Points for Products is subject to the Velocity Membership Terms and ConditionsVelocity Rewards Store Terms of Use and any other terms and conditions disclosed at the time of redemption (including gift card terms and conditions). The Velocity Rewards Store is hosted by Collinson Group Limited (ACN 083 835 661). Products ordered through the Rewards Store will not be dispatched until the relevant Points have been deducted from the member's membership account. Deliveries will only be made to a physical address in Australia (PO box deliveries will not be accepted). Rewards Store orders are usually delivered within 14 business days of the order being successfully processed (i.e. Points and any cash payment are received). Delivery dates may vary from time to time.

Please review all terms and conditions before making your selection, as refunds or replacements are not provided if you change your mind or make a wrong selection.
