Transferring your American Express  rewards points to Velocity

Transfer the existing Membership Rewards points from your eligible Card to your Velocity Frequent Flyer account19. A minimum of 2,000 Membership Rewards points per transfer applies. Transfer rates vary, as follows:

Australia

  • 2 Membership Rewards points for Ascent or Ascent Premium members = 1 Velocity Point
  • 2 Membership Rewards Points for David Jones American Express Card Members = 1 Velocity Point

How to transfer your American Express Membership Rewards points

You can convert the Membership Rewards Points earned on your eligible American Express Card to Velocity Points via your American Express online Account. If your Velocity number is not already registered with your American Express Card, select Link More Airline Programs from within your account to link, or call American Express Membership Rewards on 1300 363 276.

  • Log in on the Amex Velocity Transfer page to transfer your points.
  • Once logged in, enter the amount of points you would like to transfer and click Transfer My Points.

19. Transfer Membership Rewards points to Velocity: A minimum of 2,000 Membership Rewards points must be redeemed for Velocity Points at any one time during the Promotion Period and must be in increments of 2 Membership Rewards points (3 Membership Rewards points for Business Ascent). For full details on points transfers, including eligibility criteria, minimum points transfer requirements, applicable conversion rate see the American Express Membership Rewards Program Terms and Conditions. The earning and redemption of Membership Rewards points is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the American Express Membership Rewards Program. The redemption of Membership Rewards points will be administered solely by American Express and will take up to 1  business day to transfer into your Velocity Account and is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the American Express Membership Rewards Program in which you are enrolled. Once the Membership Rewards points have been redeemed for Velocity Points, they are governed by the Velocity Membership Terms and Conditions and cannot be reversed. Bonus Velocity Points will be administered by Velocity Frequent Flyer which will also take up to 3 business days to transfer into your Velocity Membership account. Bonus Velocity Points are calculated on the total number of Velocity Points transferred to the Velocity Account in accordance with the offer.
