Find out why great things can happen when you move all your points into your Velocity Frequent Flyer account.

If you've got partner points floating around, it's time to transfer and consolidate. Run, don't dawdle.

Imagine you’ve got a bunch of loose coins rolling around in your winter coat pockets, in various bags, under the couch cushions and in your desk drawers. Now, imagine if you brought those coins together and they added up to pay for a holiday. Well, this is a lot like having potential Velocity Points in various Partners’ accounts. Separately they might not amount to much, but when consolidated, they could lead to some seriously big rewards.

Here are four reasons to transfer points from our partner programs to your Velocity account:

1. You could have an instant holiday waiting for you

Whether you have partner points with flybuys, your credit card, hotel loyalty programs or even Singapore Airline’s KrisFlyer, you can transfer these to put toward your next holiday. When you transfer your points to Velocity, you gain access to Reward Seats, upgrades, car hire and accommodation options and even products and gift vouchers. Imagine paying for your holiday or Christmas shopping with Points you didn’t realise were lying around!

We should point out that sometimes, when you transfer Points from our partners to us, it may look like you’re reducing your total balance. But, the rewards you can enjoy with Velocity Points will make consolidating them worth it!

2. You can keep on top of your Points balance with ease

Seeing all your rewards points in one place kind of makes you feel like you’ve cheated the system somehow. You’ll be able to easily keep tabs of your balance and work towards using your Points for that dream holiday (or other big-ticket items like a Business Class upgrade or the latest gadget). All you need to do is log in to your Velocity Frequent Flyer account to see how things are looking.

If you’re close to reaching the number of Velocity Points you need to book those flights or accommodation but you’re just not quite there yet, you can actually purchase Velocity Points to boost your balance thanks to Velocity's Points Booster**.

3. You could get yourself a Reward Seat using points you've transferred

Your Velocity Points can get you to hundreds of destinations. Not only can you use your Velocity Points to book a Reward Seat or Any Seat on a Virgin Australia flight, you can also book a Reward Seat with Delta Air Lines, Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, Etihad Airways, Hainan Airlines or Hong Kong Airlines online.

And, if you call the Membership Contact Centre, you can also book a Reward Seat using your Velocity Points with Air New Zealand, Hawaiian Airlines, South African Airways, Alitalia, Capital Airlines or Virgin Atlantic flights***.

4. You can treat yourself to a range of existing rewards

Here’s where we really hammer the message home. Whilst we all love Reward Seats, flight upgrades (hello, Business Class!) and car hire and hotel accommodation paid for with Points, if you’re not planning to travel anytime soon, we still have rewards that make a compelling argument to transfer

In the middle of re-decorating your home? Updating your wardrobe? Have some gift-giving to do, or just need some retail therapy? The Velocity Rewards Store has a big range of products and gift vouchers from major retailers you can spend your Velocity Points on. From tech gadgets and homewares, to department store vouchers and charitable donations, there is something for everyone.
