Losing a close family member or friend can be a difficult time. Velocity is here to help with a guide on steps to close an individual’s deceased account.

To close an account due to a member being deceased, Velocity requires the following information

  • Velocity Frequent Flyer number of the deceased member
  • Full name as per Velocity account
  • Death certificate

If the deceased member has left instructions for their Points balance to be transferred to a beneficiary, we’ll let you know the next steps to complete this. In order to receive a Points transfer you must be a member of Velocity Frequent Flyer.
