New travel benefit with Delta Air Lines

We are pleased to announce that from 20 August 2013 Platinum, Gold and Silver members will enjoy discounts on upgrades to Delta Air Lines’ Economy Comfort seating. Experience more comfort with extra legroom and seating in the first few rows of the Economy cabin. On select International and Transcontinental services, Economy Comfort also offers complimentary spirits and up to 50% more recline on most long-haul international flights. Platinum members receive a 50% discount on upgrades, and Gold and Silver members will receive a 25% discount. This is in addition to Priority Check-in and Boarding benefits Status members receive. Platinum and Gold members also receive lounge access, Priority Baggage and Priority Screening.

Terms and Conditions:
Economy Comfort seating is offered on Delta's two-cabin aircraft, subject to availability. Economy Comfort seating is limited and may not be available on all flights. Features differ slightly according to flight type/destination; complimentary spirits and increased recline are offered on selected international flights and transcontinental flights operating between JFK and LAX, SEA and SFO. Economy Comfort fees are charged per customer per segment. Velocity Silver and Gold members and up to 8 travel companions on the same reservation are entitled to receive a 25% discount on upgrades to Economy Comfort; Velocity Platinum members and up to 8 travel companions on the same reservation are entitled to receive a 50% discount on upgrades to Economy Comfort. Discounts are applied to the published per segment fee. Economy Comfort discounts are determined based on Velocity status at the time of purchase. Delta Air Lines reserves the right to assign or reassign an Economy Comfort seat at any time, even after boarding of the aircraft, for operational, safety or security reasons. The final decision resides with the ground staff and the operating crew on the day of the flight. Refunds will be issued to any reassigned customer if the customer is not moved to a comparable or better seat. Effective for Economy Comfort seat purchases on and after 2 May 2013: If a customer voluntarily changes his/her flight or seat selection once purchased, a refund for the original seat purchase will not be provided. Velocity Points and Status Credits earn will continue to be based on original fare type purchased, and all normal fare and earn rate restrictions apply as outlined at VelocityFrequentFlyer.com.
