~IHG® Business Edge & Virgin Australia Business Flyer Points Offer Terms and Conditions: This “Enrol & Stay 1 Night, Get 5K Points” promotion (the “Promotion”) gives companies who enrol in the IHG® Business Edge (“IHGBE”) program via the IHG® Business Edge & Virgin Australia Business Flyer Bonus Points Offer link an opportunity to earn 5,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points. IHG One Rewards points can be redeemed by individuals with a valid IHG One Rewards account.

To qualify for the 5,000 promotional bonus points, a company must, during the Promotion Period:

(a) be a current Virgin Australia Business Flyer member,

(b) sign up for the IHGBE program through the IHG® Business Edge & Virgin Australia Business Flyer Points Offer link, which can be accessed via your Virgin Australia Business Flyer account,

(c) be approved by IHG as a new IHGBE account; and

(d) have a company representative complete at least one (1) Qualifying Room Night Stay under the new IHGBE account during the Promotion Period.

The “Promotion Period” is from 12:01am AEST on 29 March 2024 to 11:59pm AEST on 14 May 2024

For purposes of the Promotion, a “Qualifying Room Night Stay” is defined as a minimum one (1) night stay at a participating hotel booked under the company’s IHGBE rate. Participating hotels include IHG® Hotels & Resorts that offer the IHGBE rate. Stays booked using Rewards Nights or Points & Cash are not Qualifying Room Night Stays for purposes of this Promotion. Bookings made through on-line travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com also do not qualify under this Promotion.

A company with an IHGBE account may only participate once in this Promotion. A company can have only one IHGBE account, and IHGBE accounts already in existence prior to the Promotion Period are not eligible to participate. A maximum of 5,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points can be achieved. The points awarded under this Promotion will be in the form of digital points vouchers, which will be provided to the administrator on the applicable IHGBE account. The vouchers may only be redeemed by individuals with a valid IHG One Rewards account. If not already a member, an individual can enrol in the IHG One Reward program, at no cost, at Join IHG One Rewards. Any distribution of the points vouchers to other individuals will be the responsibility of the administrator and company who received the vouchers. IHG is not responsible for any lost, misplaced, or stolen vouchers. Expired vouchers will not be replaced should they not be redeemed within the period indicated on the voucher.

An IHG One Rewards member's participation in the IHG One Rewards program and this Promotion are subject to the standard IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions, which can be obtained here or by visiting ihgonerewards.com. Enrolment and participation in the IHGBE program and this Promotion are also subject to the IHGBE Terms and Conditions, which can be found here or by visiting businessedge.ihg.com.

Virgin Australia Business Flyer membership is available to businesses with an active ABN/ACN and an Australian business address that spend less than $300K per annum on flights with Virgin Australia. The business cannot be a Superannuation fund, travel agent, travel management company, travel wholesaler, air travel consolidator or anyone re-selling air travel. The bonus points awarded through this Promotion are not Elite status qualifying under the IHG One Rewards program. The time needed for awarding points can vary with each promotion, so please allow up to 8 weeks for the points vouchers to be emailed to the administrator on the IHGBE account following the completion of the Promotion. IHG One Rewards benefits are generally available at all IHG® Hotels & Resorts and other alliance hotels participating in the program, with exceptions for the following: 

  • Six Senses® Hotels Resorts Spas: IHG One Rewards points may be earned or redeemed for stays but other benefits may not be available. (Note that some hotels do not participate in IHG One Rewards).

IHG may withdraw points from a member’s IHG One Rewards account if they were deposited into the member’s account in error and may revoke all points in a member’s account if the member abuses the IHG One Rewards program, including but not limited to abuse of the point redemption process. IHG also expressly reserves the right to remove a member's points, downgrade their status, or cancel their account if fraudulent use of the Promotion is detected, and any fraudulent activity or other prohibited activity relating to a member’s account, this Promotion, restricted rate offerings, or the IHG One Rewards program is subject to the IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions, including any of the identified actions that may be taken in response to such activity. In addition, IHG also reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation in the IHGBE program or use of the IHGBE member portal for any fraudulent, wrongful, or other prohibited activity in connection with the program, the portal, or this Promotion. A “Qualifying Room Night includes a minimum one (1) night booked and consumed at the IHG Business Edge program rate as confirmed by the IHG® reservation system. Qualified IHG® Business Edge program rates must include the IHG® Business Edge Corporate ID number. Qualifying Room Night stays can be reserved through the IHG® App, IHG.com, Global Distribution Systems (GDS), IHG® Central Reservations Office or the property direct.  Bookings made on any other IHG® rate either through the previous channels or through online travel agencies such as booking.com or expedia.com or other similar reservation sites will not be included in this Offer; these are considered as non-qualifying stays.

If an Eligible Person meets the Eligibility Requirements, IHG® will automatically award the IHG® One Rewards Gold Elite Status to the Eligible Person’s IHG® One Rewards membership. Please allow up to  8 weeks after the Qualifying Room Night for the status update to be applied. There is no limit on the number of Eligible Persons who can receive the status upgrade, but each Eligible Person can only receive the upgrade as part of this Offer once after they have booked and consumed one Qualifying Room Night. The Gold Elite Status will continue for one (1) year from the date it is applied. To retain Gold Elite Status, the IHG® One Rewards member will be required to meet the status maintain requirements in line with the IHG® One Rewards program requirements.

Registration and use of an IHG® Business Edge account and IHG® One Rewards account is subject to the relevant  IHG® One Rewards Terms and Conditions and IHG® Business Edge Terms and Conditions available on the IHG website.

Earning Points with Virgin Australia Business Flyer: Virgin Australia Business Flyer Members can earn up to 1,000,000 Points from completed travel on eligible flights marketed and operated by Virgin Australia or marketed by Virgin Australia and operated by eligible airline partners, per annum, based on the rolling 12 month period from when the Member joins Virgin Australia Business Flyer. 2. United Airlines Business Discounts (UA Business Discounts): As at  1 November 2023, the following discounts apply to the United Airlines and Virgin Australia base fares (which excludes fees, carrier charges and taxes) of Virgin Australia marketed and United Airlines operated flights (with a VA flight number) booked by Virgin Australia Business Flyer members (Members), which may change without notice:

4. Thrifty Car Hire Discount: Virgin Australia Business Flyer members will receive the following benefit from Thrifty on all bookings made via the Thrifty booking portal within the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Rewards Portal or the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Booking Portal: a discount of 15-18% off the best base rate of the day on  www.Thrifty.com.au (that is, the rates on the Thrifty booking portal accessed via the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Rewards Portal or the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Booking Portal).

5. Points Transfer: Virgin Australia Business Flyer Account Administrators can transfer Points earned by the Virgin Australia Business Flyer member to a Velocity Frequent Flyer member, provided that (a) there is a minimum of 3,000 Points per transfer; and (b) the Velocity Frequent Flyer member transferee is directly employed or contracted by the Virgin Australia Business Flyer member. 

6. Pilot Gold: A new Virgin Australia Business Flyer member is eligible to receive two three-month Velocity Pilot Gold Memberships if, within the first three months of becoming a Virgin Australia Business Flyer member, it books and completes at least $2,000 of eligible travel (excluding taxes, fees and charges).
