Terms and conditions
1. Economy X
Economy X seats are limited and may be sold out. The applicable Economy X fee may vary based on time of purchase, and will be charged in the currency of the origin specified in your booking or purchase. Fees are per person, per sector. Payment surcharge may apply. Economy X is only available on flights operated by Virgin Australia. Product inclusions may vary based on departure airport and aircraft type. If you are in an Economy X seat in an Exit Row, you must accept the Exit Row Safety Conditions, or you may be moved to a standard Economy seat. You may be eligible for a refund of Economy X fees in certain circumstances, including under the Australian Consumer Law. See full Economy X Terms and Conditions for more information.
2. Preferred Seat selection
Preferred Seat selection is subject to availability of Preferred Seating. The applicable Preferred Seat selection fee may vary based on time of purchase, and will be charged in the currency of the origin specified in your booking or purchase. Fees are per person, per sector. Payment surcharge may apply. Preferred Seat selection is only available on flights operated by Virgin Australia. You may be eligible for a refund of Preferred Seat selection fees in certain circumstances, including under the Australian Consumer Law. 3. Access to Virgin Australia Lounges and partner airline lounges
Lounge Membership
Lounge membership is available to Velocity members aged 18 years or over. Membership is for 12 months from date of purchase.
Access is subject to space availability and the Virgin Australia Lounge Terms and Conditions. Access may not be available for use, during peak periods and high capacity utilisation of Lounges.
Single Entry Lounge passes
A Single Entry Lounge pass can be used to access the Virgin Australia domestic Lounge for up to 2 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure when flying on a same day Virgin Australia flight. Single Entry Lounge passes can be purchased at Lounge reception and cannot be purchased by redeeming Velocity Points.
Silver members receive two single-entry Lounge passes for each Benefit Period (12 months validity).

Gold and Platinum Lounge access
Gold and Platinum members receive complimentary access to the Virgin Australia domestic Lounges. Access is subject to space availability and the Virgin Australia Lounge Terms and Conditions. Access may not be available for use, during peak periods and high capacity utilisation of Lounges.
Gold and Platinum Velocity members may also have access to selected Partner Airline Lounges when flying internationally with our Partner Airlines.
Only selected airline partners offer access to their lounges. Gold and Platinum members must present boarding pass and physical Velocity card when accessing these lounges. Access is subject to space availability and Partner Airline lounge terms and conditions.
4. Baggage
Each guest may purchase a maximum of two additional 23kg checked bags for carriage on Virgin Australia operated flights. Additional checked baggage can be purchased online for up to 3 hours before scheduled flight departure. Fees for additional baggage have been calculated based on average flight times and will not be adjusted based on individual flight time fluctuations. The carriage of additional checked baggage is at the discretion of Virgin Australia acting reasonably. You may be eligible for a refund of additional checked baggage fees in certain circumstances, including under the Australian Consumer Law. 5. Carbon Offsets
Guests may offset their carbon for their flight booking with Velocity Frequent Flyer Points. The number of Points required will vary. 6. Points Booster
Purchasing Points with Velocity Points Booster is facilitated by Points Inc.
Members can buy a minimum of 1,000 Points at a time and as many times as desired during the Promotion Period up to a maximum of 250,000 Points per calendar year. Points will be allocated to the Velocity membership account of the member buying them. Points Booster transactions facilitated through the Membership Contact Centre will attract a fee of $20 or 2,500 Points. Prices are in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of GST. The applicable price will be the price published at the time of purchase and is subject to change without notice. Purchased Points are non-refundable (unless the member is entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law). Points Booster transactions are processed outside of Australia. The member is responsible for any additional fees charged by the member’s financial institution in connection with the Points Booster transaction. Purchasing Points is subject to the membership Terms and Conditions.
