Family Points Pooling is a benefit exclusive to Velocity members where members can choose to pool either just their Velocity Points or their, Points and Status Credits, with family members living at the same address. A Family Pool can consist of a total of six family members (including the beneficiary).  


THE POINT OF FAMILY POINTS POOLING

Family Points Pooling is the best way to fast-track your Points and Status Credit balance. Every time your partner, child or family member flys and/or earns with a Velocity program partner, their Velocity Points (or Points and Status Credits) will be transferred automatically to your account.

HOW TO SET UP FAMILY POINTS POOLING

Setting up Family Points Pooling is easy.

Step 1: Decide who will be the beneficiary of the Points or the Points and Status Credits and grab their Velocity membership number.
Step 2: Log into your Velocity account and navigate to Family Pooling in to My Account.
Step 3:
 Follow the three easy prompts to confirm the details of your Family Pooling.

FAQS - IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT FAMILY POINTS POOLING

How many family members can make up a Pool?
You can pool with up to six family members living at the same address. This can include - two members 18 years or over and up to four members less than 18 years of age. You can only pool with up to 6 family members living at the same address - two members 18 years or over and up to four members less than 18 years of age.

How many beneficiaries can be set up on the one Pooling account and can they be changed afterwards?
A member can only contribute to one beneficiary at a time, but may have up to 2 beneficiaries in any calendar year. The beneficiary can only be assigned or changed from the logged in contributors account.

Is it just Points that Pool to the beneficiary’s account?
You can choose to pool either just Velocity Points or both Velocity Points and Status Credits to the beneficiary. You cannot select just Status Credits.

When should I set up my Family Points Pooling account?
You must set up Family Points Pooling before you earn Velocity Points and Status Credits as it is not backdated i.e. any existing Velocity Points and Status Credits already in your family members’ accounts will not be transferred after you set up Family Pooling.

Can you reverse your Family Pool?
No, once a pooling relationship has commenced, any Points and/or Status Credits pooled to the beneficiary cannot be reversed.
